COACCH has designed a series of interactive workshops to co-design the project's direction, activities and outputs. The third interactive COACCH workshop was held on 3 and 4 December 2020 in a virtual format. More than 40 participants from nine European countries joined the workshop, representing all four COACCH working groups: policy makers, investors, business and industry, research and civil society.

In the third COACCH workshop, we presented the most recent findings and jointly explored ideas for the last phase of work. Researchers presented results of impact assessments for a number of physical and socio-economic tipping points (WP3) and discussed these results with stakeholders. Results of the macroeconomic assessment of climate impacts (Cost of inaction) (WP2.7) were presented and discussed, and a web-tool was introduced that visualises COACCH sectoral and macroeconomic impact assessments (WP5). A further session was focused on risk perception and policy needs, including discussions on key policy messages (WP4). The evaluation process on co-design was continued with an evaluation survey at the end of the workshop.

The interim results of the COACCH work have been summarized for the workshop in a policy brief. The document will be published soon at the COACCH webpage.

The COACCH project (CO-designing the Assessment of Climate Change Costs) aims to improve the downscaled assessment of the risks and costs of climate change in Europe. A key focus is to work together with end users to shape results that are directly useable by research, civil society, business, investment and policy.
