Chiara Mazzetti is Deputy Head of Communications and Events at Ecologic Institute, with a strong focus on strategic communication in the field of environmental research and policy. As a seasoned communications professional, she leads the development and implementation of European-wide communication strategies that promote the results, impact, and visibility of Ecologic Institute's diverse research projects. Chiara has extensive experience in managing multipartner networks across Europe, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective knowledge transfer among stakeholders, policymakers, and the broader public. Chiara is fluent in Italian, English, and French, and has an intermediate command of German.
Her core responsibilities include designing and overseeing integrated communication plans tailored to the needs of complex EU-funded projects, advising on public outreach approaches, and coordinating communication. Chiara's work spans high-level institutional clients, including the Directorate General for Climate, the Directorate General for the Environment, the Directorate General for Research and Innovation, the European Executive Agency for SMEs (EASME), and Germany’s Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Complementing her communications expertise, Chiara also has significant experience in conceptualizing and delivering international conferences, stakeholder dialogues, and public-facing event series. These activities are strategically embedded into broader dissemination frameworks, aimed at amplifying research impact, fostering community building, and supporting public diplomacy efforts.
Before joining Ecologic Institute, Chiara Mazzetti worked as a Project Manager and Public Relations Consultant at Media Consulta International Holding in Berlin.
Chiara Mazzetti earned her master's degree in Communications Science and her bachelor's degree in Advertising Strategy at the University of Perugia in Italy. Her studies focused on journalism, mass-media, and advertising.
