The Directorate-General for Climate Action of the European Commission invites selected stakeholders to a half-day workshop in Brussels focused on the design of a purchasing programme for CRCF Permanent Carbon Removal Credits.

This interactive workshop will explore how to accelerate the development of a European market for permanent carbon removal. Discussions will focus on the needs and motivations of potential buyers and funders, and on how to design an effective purchasing programme that supports early deployment and scale-up.

A diverse group of stakeholders – ranging from forward-looking corporates and public institutions to banks, carbon removal suppliers, civil society, and policy experts – will contribute insights to help inform the ongoing study on implementing a CRCF purchasing programme in the near term.
