Johannes Seilnacht works as an Event Manager at Ecologic Institute, where he is involved in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of national, European and international events on environmental issues. He is responsible for the coordination of all internal events that are held at Ecologic Institute. He works in German and English.
One focus of his work is the technical preparation and implementation of virtual and hybrid events at Ecologic Institute. In addition to conventional conference management tasks, Johannes' work thus includes the technical implementation of online events using various videoconferencing and streaming software (technical direction). In addition, he is responsible for Ecologic Institute's streaming studio.
Among other projects, Johannes Seilnacht was part of the project team that developed and implemented numerous training activities on emissions trading for participants from developing countries and emerging economies under the auspices of the International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP). He was responsible for the logistical organization of the training courses (online, face-to-face and hybrid), including the flagship event: a two-week summer school in Florence, Italy.
Johannes Seilnacht studied political science and sociology at the University of Jena (Germany) and completed an apprenticeship as an event manager at Ecologic Institute. He gained his first experience in conference management as part of an internship at the European Academy in Berlin in 2016.
