From 23 June to 25 August 2014, the Arctic Summer College 2014 took place. Within 10 weekly webinars, various Arctic experts presented their knowledge. Each session ended with a discussion of the daily topic amongst all participants.
The goal of the Arctic Summer College is the connection of emerging leaders and experts that work on Arctic issues. The Arctic Summer College provides an online platform for participants to build and strengthen their relationships in a sustained Arctic Summer College Community.
Ecologic Institute is honored to have welcomed international fellows and leading Arctic experts during this year’s course, including amongst many others Alexey Kokorin (WWF Russia Climate and Energy Programme), Eric J. Molenaar (Netherlands Institute for the Law of the Sea, Utrecht University; Faculty of Law at the University of Tromsø), and Timo Koivurova (Northern Institute for Environmental and Minority Law at the Arctic Centre, University of Lapland).
