How can climate policies be designed, what impacts do they have and what other options are there? These are important questions to stakeholders and policy-makers. The project POLIMP aims at making answers to these issues more easily accessible and understandable. To this end, POLIMP examines knowledge gaps for different policy and decision-making levels and covers these with the help of existing research results. The outcomes are communicated and discussed through a series of events, publications and an interactive online knowledge platform.

The research focus lies on the following questions:

• What impacts would different possible international climate policy scenarios have for society, economy, the EU and its Member States?
• How can an evidence-based discussion on these different scenarios be supported?
• How can stakeholders learn from existing climate policies and share their experiences?

Ecologic Institute leads the work package "Knowledge Platform": After identifying knowledge gaps, the aim of this work package is to disseminate the information to stakeholders in an interactive and accessible way. Ecologic Institute is also involved in engaging stakeholders and in developing criteria for the evaluation for scenarios on how the international climate negotiation regime might develop in the future.
