On the evening of 28 November 2016, Ecologic Institute, in cooperation with the American Security Project (ASP), hosted a private screening of the new documentary Film, "The Age of Consequences".

Hailed as "The Hurt Locker" meets "An Inconvenient Truth", the engaging new documentary investigates climate change and its implications for US national security and conflict worldwide. Through meticulous case study analysis and interviews with high level military officials and distinguished policy advisors, the film outlines how the impacts of climate change have exacerbated or even served as a catalyst for some of the world’s most pressing and devastating conflicts. From the three year drought that preceded the ongoing war in Syria to the movement of people due to resource scarcity and natural disaster, climate change stressors act as a ‘threat multipliers' in already tense and instable situations.

The film screening was followed by a moderated panel discussion and Q&A session featuring retired Brigadier General Stephen Cheney, who is interviewed in the documentary; R. Andreas Kramer, founder of Ecologic Institute and Dr. Camilla Bausch, Director of Ecologic Institute. Both the film and ensuing discussion emphasized the importance of considering climate change from the perspective of international security.

"The Age of Consequences" was released in May 2016 and was featured in multiple film festivals in the US.
