250 participants took part in the 2nd National Resources Forum, which was hosted by the German Federal Environmental Agency in cooperation with VDI and with the support of Ecologic Institute in Berlin on 12 November 2014. The presentations and photos from the forum are available on the conference website of the German Federal Environmental Agency.
The aim of the National Resources Forum (NRF) is to provide a national platform for discussion of the issue of sustainable resource use by focusing on the political and scientific debate on this subject. The NRF takes place biennially and is hosted by the German Federal Environment Agency. It is an important instrument for communication on resource issues in Germany, and beyond, as well as for setting up networks and initiating stakeholder alliances at national level.
The National Resources Forum is held in the context of the European Commission’s 2011 "Road Map to a Resource Efficient Europe", the 2012 adopted national program on resource efficiency (ProgRess) and relevant follow-up processes. The NRF addresses decision makers and experts from the fields of policy development, industry, academia, civil society and the media.
Back to back with the 2014 National Resources Forum, the Federal Environment Agency will host the second European Resources Forum on 10-12 November 2014.
The presentations and photos from the forum are available on the conference website of the German Federal Environmental Agency.
