The New York Political Salon, initiated and coordinated by Steven E. Sokol of the American Council on Germany and hosted by the Shelly and Donald Rubin Foundation, convenes regular meetings for younger professionals from different countries and divers professions (media, business, academia, and non-profit) to discuss current political issues of common concern. R. Andreas Kraemer of the Ecologic Institute was invited to make a presentation and lead a discussion on the extraterritorial effects of energy and climate policies of the European Union.
