"Using Seagrass as Insulation Material" by Nico Stelljes is published in the "Baltic Stories Magazine" that is devoted to promoting cooperation around the Baltic Sea, joint initiatives and projects of the European Union Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR).
The short paper gives an example of how to use Segrass in a sustainable way. It was embedded in the INNOVA project. INNOVA was a European research project dedicated to developing climate services at different innovation hubs. One of these innovation hubs, located at the Bay of Kiel in Germany, was led by Ecologic Institute. The core themes of the innovation hub were
- how the issue of beach wrack affects coastal management, and
- how climate change might have an impact on beach wrack.
This issue of the Baltic Stories Magazine has been created by the "Pomorskie in the European Union" Association within the Let's Communicate! project.
