560 billion euros from the EU's corona aid package are to be provided only with vague criteria for a green transition according to the Commission's plans. Experts are calling for more stringent criteria, and the EU Parliament is demanding a greater say than previously proposed.

Nils Meyer-Ohlendorf also calls for the EU Parliament to have more say in the matter and criticises that the aid package is not directly aimed at making the EU climate-neutral by 2050.
