On 22 October 2013, Dr. Stephan Sina, Senior Fellow at Ecologic Institute, moderated a discussion on the planned Energiewende Act for Berlin with about 90 representatives taking part, from business, policy, and administration, in Berlin City Hall. A summary of the discussion is available for download.
This was the second event on an Energiewende Act for Berlin organized by the Senate Department for Urban Development and the Environment. After greetings from Stephan Sina and State Secretary Christian Gaebler, the head of the Special Department for Climate Protection and Energy within the Senate Department Lothar Stock presented the status and selected provisions of the planned Energiewende Act. This formed the basis for the subsequent discussion moderated by Stephan Sina.
Since 2009, Stephan Sina has worked on climate change legislation at the federal and state level, inter alia, for projects on behalf of WWF Germany and the Federal Environment Agency. He also participated in an expert workshop of the Environmental Ministry on the Climate Change Act for Baden-Württemberg. At the first event on an Energiewende Act for Berlin organized by the Senate Department for Urban Development and the Environment, Stephan Sina held a presentation on the guidance of climate change policy by legislation.
