The aim of the policy report was to compare different approaches to financing sustainable modes of transportation in the U.S. and Germany and to present opportunities for improving the identified funding instruments in each country based on the experiences analysed in best practice case studies.

The policy report [pdf, 1.3 MB, English] can be downloaded at the AICGS website.

The research has been made possible by the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies at Johns Hopkins University and the Daimler-Fonds im Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft.
