Ecologic Institute acts as partner in a consortium led by COWI on a framework agreement (FWA) to support the European Investment Bank's (EIB) Advisory Services on Lot 6: Bioeconomy. The main objectives of the contract are to provide:
- services targeted at facilitating and enhancing the bankability of infrastructure projects as well as outputs creating a favorable context for bankable infrastructure projects (i.e. master plans, tariffs, studies, capacity building)
- a comprehensive technical, legal, economic, and financial skill set for each individual project. The assignment teams’ activities are categorized into seven different services, covering the entire project span.
Lot 6 on the bioeconomy consists of six different thematic sectors:
- natural resources & natural capital management;
- rural infrastructure, equipment machinery & input supply;
- primary production & biomass;
- food & biomass material manufacturing;
- transport & storage;
- improved access to rural finance.
Ecologic Institute will provide a range of services within the framework contract, including for example thematic expertise on sector "Natural resources & natural capital management" and horizontal sub-sectors "Capacity building, knowledge creation and dissemination", "Provision of advice on regulatory matters" and "Climate action – adaptation". Furthermore, Dr. Kiresiewa and Holger Gerdes support the projects as Quality Managers, taking charge of the overall quality management and control measures to be applied for the contractual aspects of the specific assignment.
