"The Transatlantic Dialogue on climate change is as important as ever". This was one of the results of a Dinner Dialogue with Prof. David A. Wirth. 19 representatives from policy making, research institutes, NGOs and business came together to informally discuss climate change and the future of the Kyoto Protocol from a transatlantic perspective.

The importance of resuming a transatlantic discourse on climate change was highlighted during this Dinner Dialogue with David A. Wirth, Professor at the Boston College Law School. The informal discussion took place among policy makers, researchers, representatives from civil society groups and business and several members of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Special focus was given to activities and initiatives on the state level, the future of the Kyoto Protocol, public opinion on climate change and the role of the issue in the US election campaign.

The Dinner Dialogue was generously supported by the US Embassy in Berlin and the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
