The WFN is an international platform promoting the concept of water footprinting as an innovative approach to consider the aspect of virtual water in water policy decisions. Ecologic seeks to link up its previous activities in the water governance field with this innovative approach.

The Water Footprint Network (WFN) has launched an international movement of the Water Footprint and to date includes more than 20 partners from across the world. Water footprinting find increasing application with businesses, and could offer an effective tool for guiding decision-making in water policy.
