1. Transatlantic policy options for climate adaptation in the marine Arctic - Expert Workshop Synthesis Report
On 11-12 September 2008 in Berlin, Germany, Arctic TRANSFORM held an Expert Workshop, which brought together more than 50 experts on Arctic policy in the areas of environmental governance, indigenous peoples, hydrocarbons, shipping, and fisheries. 6. Environmental Technologies, Training and Awareness-Raising (ETTAR) - Project results online
The ETTAR project identified the current status of and obstacles to a greater deployment of environmentally friendly technologies in freight transport. Having ETTAR now coming to an end, project manager Dr. Grit Martinez (Ecologic) concludes that stakeholder consultations indicated that environmental technologies are not sufficiently used in the transport sector, partially due to a lack of knowledge and clear information. ETTAR’s results are gathered in background notes, summaries, policy briefs and an e-learning specification. All documents are available for download.
