Julia Zeller works as a Research Assistant for the Biodiversity Team of Ecologic Institute. She currently supports the project "Implementation of the National Peatland Protection Strategy", with the development of the MoorNet project database, data management and research activities.
In addition to her work at Ecologic Institute, Julia Zeller studies "Sustainability, Society and the Environment" as part of her Master's degree program at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel. She also spent two semesters at the Technical University of Berlin furthering her education in the field of "Environmental Protection and Technology". Julia Zeller successfully completed her bachelor's degree in the field of Cultural Anthropology and Geography at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Germany). In her bachelor thesis, she dealt with the multi-layered concept of "nature" in Ecuador and the resulting tension between Neo-Extractivism and the principle of the "good life" inspired by indigenous philosophies.
