Lena Thiede is a Senior Policy Advisor at Ecologic Institute. She is a co-founder of and partner at Planet A, a venture capital fund investing in European green tech start-ups. At Planet A, she is responsible for scientific impact assessment.
Lena Thiede is a political scientist and was a government director at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). She headed German development cooperation in Tanzania/East Africa and has worked in environmental research and as a policy advisor for the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Ecologic Institute, and the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU).
