The event will highlight the main results of the report "Environment Component of the Commitment to Development Index." The presentation of the report, which was prepared by Ecologic Institute, will serve as basis to discuss the most urgent issues in the environment-development nexus, as well as to identify the most suitable policy recommendations for member states and EU institutions.

The project Europe Beyond Aid reviewed European environmental performance based on the Commitment to Development Index, which is annually published by the Center for Global Development. After assessing the indicators used in the Index and considering the policies of relevance, the Ecologic Institute developed policy recommendations at the national and European levels for improving environmental performance.
