The new 2012 Indicators Report for a Sustainable San Mateo County was published at the Sobrato Center for Nonprofits in Redwood City, California, on 21 May 2012. Very often it is easier to quantify the costs of environmental policies than the benefits. The Ecologic Institute leads a consortium to develop guidance and a tool for employees of environmental agencies, which enables them to quantify the environmental and other benefits of proposed policies.
