The 2011 Eurostat monitoring report reviews the progress and implementation of the EU sustainable development strategy. The 2011 monitoring report was published on the Eurostat website. As partner in a consortium with the Vienna University of Economic and Business (RIMAS), INFRAS, and the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR), the Ecologic Institute played a substantial role in drafting the monitoring report on behalf of Eurostat.Read more

EUREAPA Tool Launched

The One Planet Economy Network: EU (OPEN:EU) project concluded at the end of 2011 with the launch of the EUREAPA tool. EUREAPA (EU Resource and Energy Analysis Programme Application) is a freely available online decision making support tool based on the integration of the Footprint Family of indicators with an economic model which enables users to demonstrate the impact of EU consumption and production on the environment.Read more

Methodological Development of the EU Composite Index on Environmental Pressures

Valuation of the Impacts of Environmental Policies

Sustainable San Mateo – The 2012 Indicator Report

October 2011 to May 2012

For 16 years Sustainable San Mateo County (SSMC) has published its flagship indicator report for San Mateo County, which is located between San Francisco and Silicon Valley in California. The report shows progress made towards achieving a sustainable balance between economic growth, an equitable society, and a healthy environment. For the 2012 report, Ecologic Institute in San Mateo was the report’s coordinator and editor.

Evaluation of the WHO Approach to Estimate the Environmental Burden of Disease

The Environmental Burden of Disease is part of the Global Burden of Disease methodology originally developed by the WHO and others. To use EBD estimates in Germany for environmental and health policy prioritisation, it is important to review them and to develop recommendations for adjustments that better reflect the German context.
