Meike Lorenz has served Ecologic Institute as a Financial Manager since July 2008. She is responsible for project accounting and controlling within the Finance Team. A native German speaker, Meike Lorenz also has an excellent knowledge of English and French and basic knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese.
Meike Lorenz is predominantly responsible for our national research projects. Additionally, she handles accounting for programs organized and implemented by Ecologic Institute on behalf of the German Federal Foreign Office (AA). She oversees the Berliner Senat Preisprüfung and serves as its contact person for project audits.
Between 2000 and 2008, Meike Lorenz worked as a controller in Frankfurt and Berlin for a nationally active organization that focuses on the education and welfare sectors. Prior to that, she worked as a freelance consultant in regional development and strategic planning in Göttingen (Germany).
Initially trained as an industrial manager, Meike Lorenz went on to study public policy analysis and political science at the Georg-August-University in Göttingen (Germany) and thereafter worked in Brussels (Belgium) and Calgary (Canada).
