On 1 January 2015, Dr. Camilla Bausch took over management of Ecologic Institute. The 42-year-old lawyer follows in the steps of former Director and founder of the Institute, R. Andreas Kraemer.
Dr. Camilla Bausch has extensive expertise in the field of international environmental policy. As Associate Editor of the journal, Carbon & Climate Law Review (CCLR), and through a multitude of projects, publications, and talks, she has distinguished herself both nationally and internationally. Dr. Camilla Bausch has been active at Ecologic Institute for over ten years and has proven her leadership qualities both internally and externally as part of Ecologic Institute's executive board and as board member and chair for Greenpeace Germany (2009-2014). Prior to her career at Ecologic Institute, she was a consultant for the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and she has also worked in the US Congress.
Since its inception twenty years ago, Ecologic Institute has developed into one of the world’s leading environmental Think Tanks due to the personal engagement, entrepreneurial foresight, and expertise in environmental policy of former Director, R. Andreas Kraemer. He will use his eighteen month sabbatical to reflect on the last two decades and intensify his research activities on "Think Tanking in Theory and Practice" with the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS). During this time he will remain closely connected to the Institute.
