Broad Initiative for the strengthening of social ecological research

News
More than 220 researchers signed a written statement arguing that social ecological research should be strengthened in Germany. In their statement, they highlighted the strengths of the transdisciplinary research approach for analysing complex sustainability problems and developing practice-oriented solutions. The statement is also supported by scientists from Ecologic.

According to the researchers, Germany possesses a highly multiform and capable research landscape on the international scale. For the signatories, the main development goals are the improvement of the co-operation between universities and non-universitary research establishments, quality management of research work, qualification of young scientists, as well as a more international orientation of the social ecological research.

The statement is also supported by scientists from Ecologic.
