Updated Inventory and Assessment of Soil Protection Policy Instruments in EU Member States

Inwieweit werden Böden in der EU durch die Politik geschützt und welche Lücken bzw. Inkohärenzen gibt es gegenwärtig? Dieser Frage stellt sich eine neue Studie, die vom Ecologic Institut koordiniert wurde und auf eine umfassende Analyse relevanter EU-Richtlinien und nationaler Politiken in den 28 EU-Mitgliedstaaten aufbaut. Die Studie zeigt, dass einige EU-Politiken zwar gute Ansätze und Vorschriften zum Bodenschutz verfolgen, jedoch aber auch viele Schwachstellen aufweisen. Die Mitgliedstaaten gehen sehr unterschiedlich mit diesen Lücken in den nationalen Initiativen zum Bodenschutz um. Demzufolge variieren auch die Anforderungen zum Bodenschutz sehr stark zwischen den einzelnen Ländern. Die Studie gibt einen aktuellen und umfangreichen Überblick über die  Bodenschutzpolitik in Europa und liefert damit auch eine 'Baseline' um neue EU-politische Bodenmaßnahmen zu diskutieren.
