The Hertie School of Governance and Ecologic Institute cooperated on international energy and climate policies as agents of change. During the fall term of 2008, Sascha Müller-Kraenner, Partner of Ecologic, taught a course on "International energy and climate policy" at the Hertie School of Governance.

As part of the course on "Managing change of policies and institutions" of Jobst Fiedler, Associate Dean of the Hertie School, Ecologic Institute Director R. Andreas Kraemer lectured on "Changing Climate - Changing Future" with Michael Mehling, President of Ecologic Institute in Washington DC, who contributed a guest lecture that gave a US perspective and an outlook on future policies. The course by Sascha Müller-Kraenner addressed the interrelated challenges of energy security and climate change and asks how the European Union could play a leadership role in advancing international climate policy and a regional energy security policy.

The syllabus and reading for Sascha Müller-Kraenner's course and the other lectures have been made available on the Ecologic Events website.
