On 15 September 2015, Dr. Ana Frelih-Larsen, Senior Fellow at Ecologic Institute, gave a presentation at the workshop "Agriculture and LULUCF in 2030 EU Climate and Energy Framework: State of the art and best practice for climate action in the agriculture and forestry sectors". The presentation slides are available for download.

Ana Frelih-Larsen gave an overview of success stories and best practices for climate action in agriculture and forestry. Drawing on the technical guidance developed under the project Mainstreaming climate change in rural development policy post-2013, she outlined options available to promote climate action in agriculture and forestry and pointed to the numerous examples of existing best practices.

The workshop was part of a two-day event organised by Directorate-General on Climate Action and attended by over 150 stakeholders. The event centred around the outcomes of the public consultation on Addressing greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture and LULUCF in the context of the 2030 EU climate and energy framework. The first day focused on a review of stakeholder responses and offered an opportunity for further stakeholder discussion on policy options for LULUCF, whereas the second day workshop allowed for an overview of technical mitigation potential and technical options.
