Following the conference "Research for a Post-Carbon Future," on 17 September 2014 in Berlin, a cocktail reception celebrated Ecologic Institute’s 20th year as an organisation. During this reception, the official change in management was announced.

On 1 January 2015, Dr. Camilla Bausch took over management of Ecologic Institute. The 42-year-old lawyer follows in the steps of former Director and founder of the Institute, R. Andreas Kraemer.

At the opening of the 20th anniversary year of the Ecologic Institute, greetings were delivered by Aaron Best (Deputy Director, Climate-KIC Germany), Michael Mehling (Executive Director, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research) and Prof. Dr. Christian Hey (Secretary General, German Advisory Council on the Environment).
